SOCIAL STUDIES: Inferences/to Infer
DUE Wednesday, September 19
STEP 1: Create 2 columns on a piece of paper. The 1st column is for a list of facts about Terry Fox. The 2nd column are a list of inferences you create about what type of person you believe Terry was based on your facts list from column 1.
STEP 2: Check out the 2 YouTube videos on Terry Fox and write down the facts as you see and hear them. You can include in your list of facts knowledge that you already have about Terry Fox.
**Aim for at least 5 facts.
STEP 3: Have a look at your facts list from the 1st column, and based on those facts make some inferences about the type of person you think Terry was.
**Aim for at least 10 inferences
STEP 4: Based on what you inferred about who Terry was as a person will you participate in the Running Club and Terry Fox run differently from now on? Why or why not?
STEP 5: Comment on another classmate's blog entry. Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not? or "I really liked _______ because _________." Remember your digital footprint when you enter a comment.
